4 easy ways to distinguish pure honey from fake

Most of us often use Honey as a healthy alternative to refined sugar. Honey is fat-free, cholesterol-free, sodium-free and this liquid is rightly termed as nature’s sweet nectar. The sweet, sticky thick liquid is no less than an elixir for us. But if you are planning to invest in honey in order to switch to a healthier lifestyle, you must first check its purity before buying. Yes, you read that right. Now that major brands including Dabur, Patanjali, and Emami have failed the purity test and traces of adulteration has been found in honey sold by these brands, you must know how to distinguish between pure or adulterated honey. At the other end of the scale there is the "flame test where you take a dry matchstick, dip the tip in honey, and strike it on the matchbox as if to light it.

Pure honey  Honey would pass through the water like a thread and settle down immediately without mixing. It forms a lump at the bottom.
Impure honey Part of it gets disintegrated and mixes immediately.
Pour water into a cup then pour some quantity of honey if it is pure honey it will go down to the bottom of the cup without mixing up with the water except if you stir it. "Adulterated or artificial honey will dissolve in water and you will see it around the glass," one website wrote. "Pure honey on the other hand will settle right at the bottom of your glass."
